About Foreigner:

Foreigner is an iconic British-American rock band that was formed in 1976. Known for their fusion of hard rock and pop, the band’s original lineup included founding members Mick Jones (lead guitar, keyboards, backing vocals), Lou Gramm (lead vocals, percussion), Ian McDonald (guitar, keyboards, saxophone, flute, backing vocals), Al Greenwood (keyboards, synthesizer), Ed Gagliardi (bass guitar, backing vocals), and Dennis Elliott (drums, backing vocals).

Foreigner is best known for their string of hit songs during the late 1970s and 1980s. Their self-titled debut album, released in 1977, produced the hits “Feels Like the First Time,” “Cold as Ice,” and “Long, Long Way from Home.” They further achieved immense success with tracks such as “I Want to Know What Love Is,” “Waiting for a Girl Like You,” “Hot Blooded,” and “Urgent.”

The band’s music is characterized by melodic rock elements, memorable guitar riffs, and powerful vocals. Over the years, their style has encompassed a range of musical genres, from hard rock to pop ballads, demonstrating the band’s versatility and broad appeal.

Despite numerous lineup changes over the years, with Mick Jones being the sole constant member, Foreigner continues to tour and perform their classic hits to audiences worldwide.

About Cheap Trick:

Cheap Trick is an American rock band formed in 1973 in Rockford, Illinois. The band’s classic lineup consists of Robin Zander (lead vocals, rhythm guitar), Rick Nielsen (lead guitar, backing vocals), Tom Petersson (bass guitar, backing vocals), and Bun E. Carlos (drums, percussion).

Known for their blend of pop, punk, and metal elements, Cheap Trick rose to fame in the late 1970s and early 1980s with a string of successful albums and hit singles. Their breakthrough came with the live album “Cheap Trick at Budokan” (1978), which included their biggest hit, “I Want You to Want Me.” Other popular tracks by the band include “Surrender,” “Dream Police,” and “The Flame.”

Cheap Trick’s music is characterized by Nielsen’s distinctive songwriting and guitar work, Zander’s versatile vocals, and the band’s energetic performances. They’re often recognized for their influential role in the power pop genre, providing a bridge between the hard rock of the 1970s and the punk-inspired new wave of the 1980s.

In 2016, Cheap Trick was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, a testament to their enduring impact on rock music.
