Muir Woods Tours

Muir Woods is one of the most popular attractions in the Bay Area. Established as a National Monument in 1908 by the president at the time, Theodore Roosevelt, Muir Woods is a massive Redwood Forest in Northern California that covers 554 acres. It was originally named for one of the founders of The Sierra Club, John Muir, who was a Scottish-American Naturalist. The famed forest features old-growth redwood trees, which are massive trees that can grow to almost 400 feet with a diameter of more than 25 feet. Walking amongst these ancient trees is truly a unique experience.

After being featured in some major films like Rise of the Planet of the Apes, Outbreak, Ant Man and more, the attraction has become increasingly popular, which means it can be crowded at times. If you plan on visiting Muir Woods, make sure to plan ahead so you don’t miss out. The easiest way to see the attraction and the best way to ensure that you can go at the perfect time for you is to book a tour. There are plenty of tour options, so whether you just want to go to Muir Woods or if you want to do a combo trip that includes Alcatraz, a Bay Cruise or a sightseeing tour.
