The San Francisco July 4 Pub Crawl is the best way to celebrate the holiday! Join us for a huge “Independence Day” Bar Crawl leading right up to the celebratory fireworks on Thursday night. Enjoy some great holiday drink specials and feel free to wear your favorite red, white, or blue outfit!

It’s time to pull out those American Flag jackets, funny t-shirts and crazy costumes. The Fourth of July Pub Crawl will take place on Friday, July 4. You won’t need to travel out of the city to enjoy the craziest Independence Day celebration on the West Coast with a bunch of great San Francisco Bars offering amazing drink specials, DJs, food and more leading up to the big San Francisco Fireworks show. Even better, the San Francisco Hot Dog Eating Contest and Pie Eating Contest will take place during the event, so you will get your chance to cheer on the best competitive eaters in the city as they grub through plates of hot dogs or dive into freshly baked pies, hoping to be crowned the champion for 2025.

The fun all starts at Rick & Roxy’s, where you can check in for the event and pick up your pub crawl wristbands and Fourth of July Maps. The wristbands are your all-access pass to the event, which will give you access to some incredible discounted drink specials and also get you free entry to all of the bars and the hot dog eating contest location. The best way to pre-party before the fireworks shows in San Francisco.

Independence Day in San Francisco is more than just fireworks over the bay. It’s a citywide celebration and a good time, all wrapped in red, white, and blue. This year, the Fourth of July Pub Crawl, produced by CrawlSF, is the best way to pre-party before the San Francisco Fireworks show at dusk.

On Friday, July 4, 2025, pub crawlers will take to the streets for the first day of this two-day celebration. From the lively check-in at Rick & Roxy’s to the final toasts of the evening, the event is a patriotic blend of drink specials, entertainment and more. And for those with a competitive streak, the San Francisco Hot Dog Eating Contest offers a chance to compete for the coveted title of Hot Dog Eating Champion of San Francisco.

The bar crawl kicks off at Rick & Roxy’s (2125 Lombard Street), where you can pick up their wristbands, maps & party favors. From there, the city’s Marina District becomes your playground, with stops at some of the coolest (in our opinion) bars in town. Venues like The Blue Light, Palm House, Comet Club, and Sacred Taco are rolling out the red carpet with drink specials and festive decor. Each bar along the route offers its own unique atmosphere, from the retro-cool vibes of Silver Cloud to the whimsical magic of Wizards & Wands.

The Fourth of July Hot Dog Eating Contest is an Annual competition that takes place during the crawl. Anyone can enter for your chance to win the title of San Francisco Hot Dog Eating Champion for 2025.

For those who prefer sweet to savory, the Pie Eating Contest offers a different challenge. The rules are simple: no utensils & no hands. First one to finish the pie wins.
