A classically trained pianist from a young age, Alicia Keys has had an extraordinary career in the music industry. At the age of 12 she began composing songs, which eventually led to a record contract with Columbia Records at the age of 15 and the start of her professional music career. 

Her first album, Songs in A Minor, was a huge success, earning Keys the first of many Billboard #1 singles and selling over 16 million copies in addition to winning an astounding 5 Grammy Awards. But that was just the beginning for the singer-songwriter from New York City. Her subsequent albums continued to delight her fans, including a live album, “Unplugged”, which was the first MTV Unplugged album by a female artist to debut at #1. Her achievements as a musician are incredible, selling well over 50 million albums worldwide and earning 12 ASCAP Awards, 15 Grammy Awards and more. She has also been honored on numerous lists, such as the 100 Greatest Artists Ever as well as making Time Magazine’s 100 Most Influential People List in both 2005 and 2017.
