Smoked Out Soul and Pamela Parker's Fantastic Machine Take Over The Independent on July 28th

Smoked Out Soul is a San Francisco-based collective that fuses live jazz and funk musicians with DJs who spin classic and modern hip-hop, soul, and funk tracks. Their signature sound is a fusion of live instrumentation and electronic beats, creating a dynamic and immersive musical experience that blends the old and the new. The collective has been active since 2013 and has performed at various venues and festivals across the United States, including the legendary Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado. They have released several albums and EPs, including their latest release, “Zodiac Dust,” which features collaborations with several renowned musicians.

Pamela Parker’s Fantastic Machine, on the other hand, is a Los Angeles-based band that creates a unique blend of rock, funk, and soul music. Led by the dynamic vocalist Pamela Parker, the band’s music is characterized by its raw energy, tight grooves, and infectious melodies. They have released several albums, including their debut album “P.P. Fantastic” in 2006 and their latest release “Evolutionary Process” in 2019. Pamela Parker’s Fantastic Machine has toured extensively across the United States and has performed at numerous music festivals, including the Montreal Jazz Festival and the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival.
