San Francisco Pie Eating Contest, an annual competitive eating competition taking place during the San Francisco Fourth of July Pub Crawl, is a great place to satisfy your palette with some delicious, fruity treats. San Francisco’s Fourth of July celebrations are about to get a whole lot sweeter. On Saturday, July 4, 2026 at 6:30PM, the San Francisco Pie Eating Contest returns as a highlight of the Annual Fourth of July Pub Crawl. The action takes place at Jaxson.
This fun competition gives anyone the chance to claim the title of San Francisco Pie Eating Champion for 2026 and walk away with some pretty cool prizes.

How the Contest Works

Anyone can enter. There is no experience necessary, just a healthy appetite and a competitive spirit. Each contestant receives one full pie and will have a set amount of time to devour as much as possible. The first person to finish their entire pie wins. If no one finishes completely, the contestant who eats the largest amount before time runs out takes the victory.

It’s the perfect messy, high-energy moment for pub crawl participants and anyone who wants to join.

The Pie Eating Contest is a key stop on the Annual Fourth of July Pub Crawl, which runs throughout the afternoon and evening including over 10 bars in The Marina. It takes place right before the San Francisco Hot Dog Eating Contest, making for a full evening of competitive eating fun.

After the contests wrap up, you are just a short walk from prime viewing spots for the Golden Gate Bridge fireworks show, which should be pretty amazing.
