Labeled by British Magazine, Melody Maker, as “The Most Rock ’n’ Roll Rock ’n’ Roll Band in the World”, The Black Crowes were formed in 1984 in Marietta, Georgia. After being signed by Def American in 1989, the band went on to release “Shake Your Money Maker” followed by “The Southern Harmony and Musical Companion”, which made it to the #1 Position on the Billboard Charts. They have collectively sold more than 30 million albums after being voted Best New American Band by Rolling Stone Magazine in 1990. Despite a long hiatus and numerous member changes in the band, they have continued to tour and play all over the country. They haven’t released an album since 2009 (and there is no word on whether they plan on doing so in the future), but they have plenty of hits from their 8 studio albums to keeping you rockin’ all night long to “She Talks to Angels”, “Remedy”, “Hard to Handle” and more.Their San Francisco Bay Area stop will take place in the East Bay at Concord Pavilion on August 21.
