From intimate shows at the Independent to big shows at Shoreline Amphitheater, the Bay Area gets an amazing variety of different artists taking the stage at San Francisco Music Venues.

If you prefer a smaller venue so you can get up close and personal with the band, San Francisco has some amazing small music venues that offer an intimate settings for events without sacrificing the sound quality and production value. The Independent SF, Great American Music Hall, Rickshaw Stop and The Chapel are all great choices to see some great bands and DJs without having to deal with a big crowd.

If you want to see some bigger artists, but don’t want to head to the biggest venues in the Bay Area, historic venues like The Warfield, The Fillmore, Fox Theater and August Hall. And then there’s the mega venues that bring huge acts along with state of the art lighting and sound and big crowds of excited live music fans. Venues like Shoreline Amphitheater, Chase Center, Oakland Arena, Bill Graham Civic Auditorium and SAP Center San Jose bring the biggest and best to the San Francisco Bay Area.
