One of those neighborhoods, which is a must-see for any visitors to the city, is The Mission District, also known as “The Mission” Located near Portrero Hill, The Castro and Haight-Ashbury, the popular San Francisco neighborhood gets its name from Mission Dolores, a California Mission Chapel that dates back to 1776. It is the oldest building that is still standing in San Francisco despite the many natural disasters like the San Francisco Earthquake in 1906. 

The Mission is one of the most lively neighborhoods in San Francisco. The streets are lined with amazing restaurants, fun bars, cool shops and more.
