Fraggle Rock

Get ready for a colorful, music-filled family adventure when Fraggle Rock: Back to the Rock Live comes to the Golden Gate Theatre in San Francisco on Saturday, November 21, 2026, at 3:00 PM PT. Based on the Emmy-winning series available on Apple TV, this touring stage production brings the imaginative world of Fraggle Rock into a live theatrical setting filled with comedy, dancing, puppetry, music, audience interaction, and visual effects.

Created with the spirit of the iconic Jim Henson Company, the production introduces audiences to colorful new walkaround versions of the beloved Fraggles, along with new puppet versions of the industrious Doozers. The adventure also includes a visit from a giant Gorg and appearances by original puppet creatures created by Jim Henson’s Creature Shop, known for its work bringing imaginative characters to life.

Written and directed by John Tartaglia, whose credits include Avenue Q and Shrek the Musical, the live production is designed to welcome both longtime Fraggle Rock fans and families discovering the characters for the first time. Fan-favorite songs help drive the story, while immersive theatrical effects and audience participation make the experience more interactive than a traditional stage show.

The performance offers plenty for younger theatergoers, with colorful characters, playful comedy, music, movement, and imaginative storytelling. At the same time, adults who grew up with Fraggle Rock can enjoy a nostalgic return to the world of the original series, presented through new puppetry and live-stage technology. The result is a shared theater experience designed to bring different generations together.

The event takes place at San Francisco’s Golden Gate Theatre, with doors opening at 2:00 PM ahead of the 3:00 PM performance. The show runs approximately 1 hour and 40 minutes, including one intermission. VIP packages are also available for guests interested in an enhanced event experience.
