Goldenvoice Presents Bikini Kill with Alice Bag on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, for an unforgettable night of feminist punk, raw energy, and boundary-pushing music. Doors open at 7:00 PM, with the show beginning at 8:00 PM. The event is open to ages 6 and up.
Formed in 1990 in Olympia, Washington, and later based in Washington, DC, Bikini Kill became one of the most influential bands to emerge from the early-1990s underground punk scene. Featuring Kathleen Hanna, Tobi Vail, Kathi Wilcox, and Billy Karren, the band helped ignite the Riot Grrrl movement through fiercely feminist lyrics, self-produced zines, independent music, and confrontational, community-focused live performances. Their music challenged sexism within punk and popular culture while encouraging women and girls to pick up instruments, start bands, create their own media, and build spaces where their voices could be heard.
After breaking up in 1997, Bikini Kill reunited in 2019, bringing their legendary live presence back to audiences around the world. The reunion featured original members Kathleen Hanna, Kathi Wilcox, and Tobi Vail, joined live by guitarist Erica Dawn Lyle. Their return included sold-out performances in Los Angeles, New York City, and London, as well as a headline appearance at Riot Fest in Chicago.
Joining Bikini Kill for this special evening is Alice Bag, a pioneering figure in the Los Angeles punk scene whose fearless artistry and outspoken perspective have made her an enduring force in punk music and culture.
With Bikini Kill’s historic catalog, Alice Bag’s trailblazing presence, and an atmosphere rooted in rebellion, creativity, and community, this is a night for longtime fans and a new generation discovering the power of punk. Don’t miss Bikini Kill live with Alice Bag on September 8, 2026.
