Taking advantage of the beautiful, wine country location and proximity to the San Francisco Bay Area, BottleRock Napa Valley came out of the gate strong in 2013. The inaugural lineup featured Zac Brown Band, The Black Crowes, Kings of Leon, The Black Keys, Jane’s Addiction, The Flaming Lips, Primus and more, which almost immediately catapulted the new festival to become one of the best music festivals in the United States. Napa’s first major music festival was a huge success, with over 120,000 attendees.
BottleRock Napa Valley takes place every May at the Napa Valley Expo, which is located just a few blocks from downtown Napa. The festival takes place over 3 days, each one filled with an incredible lineup, food, wine and more. There are 5 different stages including the Jampad, Lagunitas Stage, Bai Stage, Firefox Stage and the Jam Cellars Stage where over 80 bands perform every year. Past headliners have included The Cure, Eric Church, Imagine Dragons, No Doubt, Robert Plant, Stevie Wonder, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Foo Fighters, Maroon 5, The Killers, Neil Young and more.
The organizers have also paid homage to the local region by placing a strong emphasis on the wine and culinary culture of the area. Over 40 wineries and a large variety of local restaurants provide food and drinks at the festival. Another unique feature to the festival is the Williams Sonoma Culinary Stage. This exciting feature of the festival brings together famous chefs, local sports stars, musicians and more for some fun, culinary presentations. Past participants include Snoop Dogg (who broke the record for the world’s largest Gin & Juice), Michael Mina, Gordon Ramsay, Martha Stewart, Cheech & Chong, Ayesha Curry, Shaun White and more.
