Celebrate the 4th with a festival, parade and fireworks show in Redwood City
Get ready to paint your 4th of July with joy and excitement in Redwood City for Independence Day 2023! Here’s your ticket to a full day of festivities that promises a belly-full breakfast, lively parade, amazing festival, a creative chalk art show, and of course, an awe-inspiring fireworks show lighting up the night sky.
Kicking off the celebrations is the Pancake Breakfast from 8-11 am hosted by the Redwood City Fire Department at the main Marshall Street fire station. Dig into a stack of scrumptious pancakes to fuel your patriotic party!
At 10 am, don’t miss out on the annual 4th of July Parade! Grab your spot and watch the lively procession pass by. Not sure where to stand? We’ve got a handy parade map to guide you.
Then, dive headfirst into the festival happening from 9 am to 5 pm. With arts and crafts, mouth-watering food and beverages, kids’ activities, and a huge dose of wholesome family fun, it’s going to be the hub of 4th of July merriment!
Add some color to your day by joining the artists at the Chalk Festival on Courthouse Square and Chalk Alley. Be part of ‘Chalk Full of Fun on the Square’, where artists of all levels create their vibrant masterpieces on July 3 & 4.
As dusk descends, prepare for the grand finale. Starting at approximately 9:30 pm, a dazzling fireworks extravaganza will take place. Whether you’re at the Port or some high point on the Peninsula, just look up and take in the spectacular display that concludes a perfect Independence Day!
