Zach Bryan will Headline Madden Bowl in San Francisco after Luke Combs Cancels

Updated: February 6, 2026

In a last-minute twist that’s got country music fans buzzing, Zach Bryan is going to headline tonight’s EA SPORTS™ Madden Bowl at Chase Center. He is stepping in for Luke Combs just 24 hours after he cancelled for family reasons.

“Hurricane” and “Fast Car” by Luke Combs have been playing almost on repeat on Country stations, so there was definitely a lot of excitement with him at the top of the lineup. But with wife Nicole’s due date for their third child coming up soon, the Luke prioritized home over the stage.

While losing Luke Combs on the lineup would be a disappointment, replacing him with Zach Bryan should make any country music fan happy. Zach Bryan, the Oklahoma-raised Navy vet turned country singer, whose grassroots rise from viral TikToks like “Heading South” to sold out tours knows how to put on a show. With Grammy wins for “I Remember Everything” (feat. Kacey Musgraves) and albums like American Heartbreak selling millions, Bryan’s raw anthems about heartbreak, hustle, and home feel like the perfect fit for Super Bowl weekend.

The Current Madden Bowl Lineup includes:

  • Zach Bryan
  • Teddy Swims
  • Stephen Wilson Jr.
  • Gavin Adcock
  • LaRussell

The addition of Zach Bryan also adds a little bit of controversy to the show. Bryan’s slot puts him on the same bill as Gavin Adcock, who he’s publicly feuded with since a heated fan spat last summer escalated to a near-fistfight at Oklahoma’s Born & Raised Festival. Will they squash it under Chase Center lights, or spark round two?

Blue carpet arrivals start at 7PM, hosted by Giants QB Jameis Winston and Kay Adams, livestreamed on EA’s socials alongside Twitch streamer Sketch’s Madden NFL 26 showdown. Expect athlete cameos, I AM ATHLETE podcast drops and Visa Infinite perks like premium lounges. It’s all building hype for Sunday’s big game at Levi’s Stadium.

Bay Area’s own LaRussell who is from Vallejo, called it a “dream” to perform home turf during Super Bowl madness.
