A true proof of practice makes perfect, Elias began studying the piano at seven years of age and by fifteen she began passing on her skills as a piano teacher. Just a couple of years later at the age of seventeen, she began touring and performing. The Brazilian musician continued to hone her skills at Julliard in New York City and is always open to exploring new musical paths in both jazz and classical music. Growing up listening to jazz pianist Bill Evans, Eliane Elias combined all of her classical teachings with her own unique brand and style, which she exhibits in her live performances and albums today. The Grammy Award winner will be making a stop in Napa Valley, so here is your chance to see this amazing musician live. She will be taking the stage at Blue Note Napa, located right in the heart of the downtown area for 2 shows on Sunday June 20.
