A country boy from Macon, Georgia, Jason Aldean started his music career early when, at the young age of 14, he had already decided that he wanted to perform on stage. At 15, he began performing at county fairs and various talent contests, perfecting his craft and getting comfortable in front of live audiences. Just after High School, in 1998, Jason finally made strides to become a professional singer when he began recording original music with Justin Weaver (a current member of the band) and performing at festivals and clubs all over the Southeastern United States. Despite an early recording contract that ended up falling through, Aldean was finally signed to Broken Bow Records in Nashville, leading to the release of his self-titled album in 2005. His first album helped to get his music out there, however it wasn’t until 2010, with his album, “My Kinda Party” that he finally gained recognition as a top country music artist. The album went quadruple-platinum, which set the stage for the success of future albums like “They Don’t Know”, “Night Train”, “Rearview Town” and more.
Jason Aldean has seen massive success with his albums and singles, but performing live is where he really shines. He has toured almost every year since 2008, originally as a supporting act for big names like Rascal Flatts, Dierks Bentley and Tim McGraw, Until his 2011 “My Kinda Party” Tour, which was the start of his headlining tours. Aldean was also the performer on stage during the mass shooting at the Route 91 Harvest Music Festival in Las Vegas. He had just began his set when the gunshots started firing.
Needless to say, Jason Aldean has more than proved himself to be one of the top country artists of all time. A 3-time winner of the “Entertainer of the Year” award by the Academy of Country Music who has seen 22 out of his 35 released singles at the top of the charts, Aldean is definitely one of the most popular artists to see live.
If you haven’t had a chance to check out his live performance, make sure to grab some tickets for his show when he makes a stop in the San Francisco Bay Area. He will be performing live at Shoreline Amphitheater on Friday, September 24. Tickets go on sale at 10AM on Tuesday, May 18.
