Celebrate Independence Day in Concord, CA
Ready for a full day of sizzling summer fun? Join us on July 4, 2023, for Concord’s Home Town Parade, Picnic, Festival, and Fireworks!
Start the Independence Day celebrations with a morning dash through the park! Head to Downtown Concord at 8 am for the Concord July 4th 5k or Kid’s Fun Run, presented by Marathon. Enjoy a well-earned post-race breakfast with Rotary Pancakes. And don’t forget to take advantage of the two water stops on the course at miles 1 and 2. With plenty of refreshing goodies and bottled water awaiting you at the finish line, it’s the perfect way to kickstart your 4th of July!
At 10 am, prepare to be dazzled by Concord’s famous Independence Day Parade at Todos Santos Plaza. Floats, bands, equestrian & dance teams will strut their stuff in a spectacle that’ll have you clapping and cheering in delight!
From there, it’s just a three-block jaunt to Mt. Diablo High School where the festival gates swing open at 4 pm. Enjoy the rest of the day filled with Live Music, a Kids Carnival, scrumptious local food, and vendor booths. The live entertainment kicks off at 5 pm with the Beach Boys Tribute Band, Surfs Up, followed by the groovy rhythms of The 925 Band at 7:30 PM.
But the fun doesn’t stop when the sun goes down. At 9 pm, brace yourself for a Fireworks Spectacular over Concord. Watch the night sky light up in a glorious finale to an unforgettable day.
The best part? It’s all free to the public, thanks to our sponsors and partnerships with the City of Concord and Mt. Diablo Unified School District. (Only the Fun Run requires an entry fee of $45 to $49.)
