Little Bears Music Class

Bring your little ones to Little Bears Music Class at Thrive City for a playful introduction to music, movement, rhythm, and creative expression. Designed for young children and their caregivers, this family-friendly experience turns the plaza into a welcoming space where kids can sing, dance, listen, and interact with music in an engaging social environment. The class encourages children to discover music naturally while developing confidence, coordination, and an appreciation for rhythm and melody.

To make the experience age-appropriate, Little Bears Music Class offers two separate sessions. Babies and toddlers ages 3 and under can participate from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., while preschoolers ages 4 to 6 have their own session from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. Each class gives young participants an opportunity to explore musical concepts through activities that encourage movement and participation.

Leading the sessions is Teacher Barb, a guitar-playing musician who brings a diverse musical repertoire to her work with children and families. Her performances draw from rock ’n’ roll, country, folk, blues, and jazz, alongside original songs created especially for kids and their caregivers. Her upbeat and supportive approach invites everyone to join in, whether that means singing along, clapping to a beat, dancing, or simply taking in the music.

Throughout the class, children can explore fundamental musical skills such as singing in tune, recognizing rhythm, following a beat, and finding rhymes. The experience also provides opportunities for caregivers to participate alongside their children, creating a shared activity that encourages connection and joyful self-expression.

After class, families can make a day of their visit to Thrive City by stopping for lunch, snacks, or treats at the plaza’s restaurants and bars. Parking is available seven days a week at the Chase Center Garage at 99 Warriors Way.

Space is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Guests should review Thrive City’s venue policies before attending, including restrictions on outside alcohol, smoking, drones, amplified sound, coolers, lawn chairs, bicycles, scooters, tents, and other prohibited items. Pets must remain leashed, and trained service animals are welcome according to venue guidelines.
