Embrace the beauty of autumn at Pumpkin Paint n’ Sip, an outdoor art experience nestled in the scenic surroundings of the Conservatory of Flowers in Golden Gate Park. On Saturday, October 19, from 2 PM to 4 PM, participants of all artistic abilities—from complete beginners to seasoned creators—are invited to tap into their creativity while painting pumpkins in one of San Francisco’s most iconic locations.

Hosted by OpenArt Park ‘n Paint, this event offers a relaxed, step-by-step painting session where attendees can let their imaginations flow. With all supplies provided and the guidance of a friendly instructor (just look for the blue wagon and the artist in overalls), you’ll be painting fall scenes on pumpkins in no time. While instruction is available, creative freedom is encouraged—whether you stick to the script or branch out with your own ideas, the choice is yours.

As you paint, sip on sparkling apple cider and enjoy the tranquil atmosphere of Golden Gate Park, surrounded by the lush foliage of the Conservatory of Flowers. This Victorian-era greenhouse, constructed in 1879, is home to rare and exotic plants and stands as a beloved San Francisco landmark, offering a backdrop rich in history and natural beauty.

Participants are encouraged to bring something to sit on and a water cup for rinsing brushes. Beyond that, all you need is a desire to have fun and celebrate the season through art.
