Build strength, improve stability, and connect with your body at Thrive City during Weekly Fitness Classes | Yoga Core, part of a free seasonal fitness series presented by Kaiser Permanente. Taking place throughout September, October, and November, the program invites members of the Bay Area community to stay active in an open and welcoming environment. The classes are designed for all fitness levels, making them suitable whether you are an experienced practitioner or simply looking for a new way to incorporate movement into your routine.

The Yoga Core class offers a dynamic approach to yoga with a particular focus on the muscles that support balance, posture, and overall stability. Participants will move through powerful sequences and sustained poses that challenge core strength, control, and coordination. Rather than focusing solely on flexibility, the class combines mindful movement with physical conditioning, encouraging participants to develop greater awareness of how they move and maintain stability. The practice is designed to leave participants feeling stronger, centered, and more confident in their physical foundation.

Leading the session is Cecily Guest, a veteran Bay Area yoga and fitness instructor with 30 years of experience working with renowned fitness brands and corporate audiences. Her movement philosophy draws from a wide range of disciplines, including dance, Pilates, martial arts, personal training, and various yogic traditions. Guest is returning for her third year teaching at Thrive City and also teaches at Equinox Fitness while leading workshops and yoga retreats throughout California. Her professional certifications include A.C.E., AFAA, Yoga Fit, Diablo Yoga Center, SCW Pilates, and Reebok Indoor Cycling.

Participants should bring a yoga mat and a bottle of water. Space is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Those driving to the event can park at the Chase Center Garage at 99 Warriors Way, which is open seven days a week.

Guests should review Thrive City’s venue policies before attending.
