On Friday, January 15, 2027, STS9 brings its boundary-pushing blend of electronic music, live instrumentation, and immersive visual production to the stage for an evening built around exploration, improvisation, and connection. Doors open at 7:00 pm, with the show beginning at 8:00 pm.

For more than two decades, STS9 has developed a distinctive sound that bridges electronic dance music with funk, jazz, drum and bass, and intricate instrumental compositions. The instrumental five-piece features Hunter Brown on guitar and programming, Jeffree Lerner on percussion, David Phipps on keyboards, Zach Velmer on drums, and Alana Rocklin on bass. Together, they create music that can shift from expansive, atmospheric passages to energetic, rhythm-driven performances, making each live appearance an experience that can evolve in unexpected directions.

A major part of the STS9 experience is the group’s immersive light show, which complements the music and transforms the concert into a fully integrated audiovisual performance. Their reputation for connecting with audiences has helped build a dedicated fanbase and a touring legacy that includes more than 30 performances at Colorado’s iconic Red Rocks Amphitheatre, as well as appearances at festivals across the country. The band has also been inducted into the Colorado Music Hall of Fame and has pursued community-focused initiatives through its Just Thanks Foundation and independent label, 1320 Records.

The event also arrives during an exciting period for the band following the release of Human Dream, their 2025 studio album. Spanning 19 tracks, the record explores the many dimensions of STS9’s sound, from festival-ready electronic energy to funk, jazz, drum and bass, and atmospheric instrumentals. With its combination of live musicianship, improvisation, electronic production, and striking visuals, the January 15 performance offers an opportunity to experience STS9’s evolving musical world in a setting designed for both longtime fans and newcomers.
