Little Bears Music Class

Bring your little bears to Thrive City for a joyful morning of music, movement, and family fun at Little Bears Music Class! Designed to help young children discover the magic of music through playful interaction, these engaging classes create a welcoming environment where kids can shake, rattle, sing, dance, and explore rhythm and melody at their own pace.

Little Bears teachers use music as a joyful form of self-expression while encouraging important early-development skills such as socialization, musical appreciation, listening, coordination, and confidence. Rather than simply sitting and listening, children are invited to actively participate, helping them develop a deeper connection with rhythm and melody through hands-on musical experiences.

The event features two age-specific sessions, making it easy for families to choose the class best suited to their child’s developmental stage. From 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., babies and toddlers 3 years old and under can enjoy a playful introduction to music. Later, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m., preschoolers ages 4 to 6 can take part in a session tailored to their age group.

Leading the musical fun is Teacher Barb, a guitar-slinging musician whose energetic style brings families together through timeless rock ‘n’ roll, country, folk, blues, and jazz classics, along with original songs created especially for children and families. Her supportive approach encourages children—and the adults who love them—to sing in tune, find the beat, feel the rhythm, discover rhymes, and express themselves through music. With Teacher Barb guiding the experience, families can expect plenty of opportunities to sing, move, laugh, and make lasting memories together.

After class, make the most of your Thrive City visit by sticking around for lunch or a sweet treat at one of the area’s delicious restaurants and bars. It is a great way to turn the music class into a fun family outing.

Parking is available seven days a week at the Chase Center Garage (CCG), located at 99 Warriors Way. Space for the music classes is limited and available first-come, first-served, so families are encouraged to arrive early.
