JD McPHERSON – SOCKS: A ROCK N ROLL CHRISTMAS TOUR with special guest Melissa Carper

Get ready to celebrate the holidays with a jolt of vintage-inspired rock ’n’ roll energy when JD McPherson brings the SOCKS: A Rock N Roll Christmas Tour to the stage on Sunday, December 13. Doors open at 7:00 pm, with the show beginning at 8:00 pm. Joining McPherson for this festive evening is special guest Melissa Carper, making this a night designed for music fans who like their holiday spirit served with plenty of rhythm, attitude, and soul.

McPherson has built his reputation by taking the raw excitement of early rock ’n’ roll, rhythm & blues, and roots music and pushing it into fresh territory. His performances channel the visceral energy of artists such as Little Richard, while his songwriting and production choices give those influences a distinctly modern edge. The result is music that feels simultaneously timeless and unexpected—familiar enough to spark nostalgia, yet inventive enough to sound completely alive.

The SOCKS tour brings that spirit into the holiday season. Expect an energetic concert atmosphere filled with driving rhythms, expressive vocals, infectious melodies, and the kind of live performance that invites audiences to move with the music. Rather than treating rock ’n’ roll as a museum piece, McPherson approaches its classic building blocks as material for something new, blending vintage sounds with adventurous arrangements and contemporary songwriting.

McPherson’s musical journey has earned praise for its combination of authenticity, musicianship, and originality. His acclaimed debut Signs & Signifiers introduced listeners to a sound that drew from early rock and R&B without simply reproducing the past. His subsequent work has continued to explore wider sonic territory, incorporating unexpected textures and production ideas while retaining the raw energy at the heart of his music.

Special guest Melissa Carper adds another compelling dimension to the evening, bringing her own roots-oriented artistry to the bill.

Whether you’re a longtime fan of McPherson’s music, a lover of classic rock ’n’ roll, or simply looking for a memorable alternative to the usual holiday concert, SOCKS: A Rock N Roll Christmas Tour promises an evening of spirited live music, vintage influence, and modern energy. Come ready to dance, sing along, and let the good times roll.
