Some stories are too personal to stay on the page—they demand to be sung out loud. On Thursday, November 12, Jake Minch brings his deeply personal songwriting and emotionally resonant sound to Rickshaw Stop for The Getting Big Tour, with special guest Alix Page. Presented by Rickshaw Stop + Popscene, this all-ages evening promises a powerful night of intimate storytelling, memorable melodies, and songs that explore what it means to grow, change, and find your way through life.

Born and raised in Connecticut, Jake Minch first broke through in 2023 with his breakout single “handgun,” whose initial teaser racked up 1.3 million views and quickly attracted support from artists including Noah Kahan, Lizzy McAlpine, Zach Bryan, Gracie Abrams, and FLETCHER. Since then, Minch has developed a dedicated following with songs rooted in love, growing up, grief, and the complicated emotions that come with entering adulthood.

His debut album, George, expands that emotional world across 12 tracks. Produced alongside acclaimed producer Tony Berg, whose credits include work with Phoebe Bridgers and Taylor Swift, the album explores grief, guilt, and identity through the perspective of Minch’s early twenties. Written between Los Angeles and Connecticut, George captures the uncertainty of leaving home while embracing the vulnerability that comes with figuring out who you’re becoming. The record has earned recognition from NPR Music, Stereogum, The Line of Best Fit, and Ones to Watch, with critics highlighting Minch’s distinctive songwriting.

Minch has also taken his music around the world, sharing stages with The Head and the Heart, Jeremy Zucker, Ben Abraham, Holly Humberstone, Grace Enger, and Sadie Jean before completing a two-part North American headline tour supporting George.

Opening the night is Alix Page, an Orange County singer/songwriter bringing her own perspective and musical voice to the evening. Her appearance makes for a compelling pairing with Minch’s intimate, songwriter-driven style.

Doors open at 7:00 PM, with the show beginning at 9:00 PM. Tickets are $20 in advance, $25 at the door, with a $70 VIP option available. The event is all ages.

Come ready to laugh, reflect, sing along, and connect with songs that speak honestly about growing up and moving forward. Join Jake Minch and Alix Page at Rickshaw Stop on November 12 for an evening of heartfelt music and unforgettable stories—and experience The Getting Big Tour live.
