Book of Love: 40th Anniversary Tour
With DJ Omar Perez (Popscene)

Four decades of synth-pop, new wave, and unforgettable electronic music deserve a celebration—and Book of Love is bringing that celebration to San Francisco. On Saturday, January 16, 2027, the iconic band will take the stage at The Chapel for a special stop on its 40th Anniversary Tour, joined by DJ Omar Perez of Popscene for an evening built around timeless sounds and vibrant live energy.

Book of Love has earned a lasting place in the history of alternative pop with its distinctive combination of synthesizers, electronic rhythms, catchy melodies, and imaginative songwriting. Emerging from New York’s influential new wave scene, the band developed a sound that was both playful and atmospheric, helping establish its music as a favorite among fans of synth-pop, alternative dance, and electronic music. Four decades later, those songs continue to connect with audiences who appreciate the creativity and unmistakable character of the era.

The 40th Anniversary Tour offers fans a chance to experience Book of Love’s music in a live setting and celebrate the band’s enduring legacy. Whether you have been listening since the beginning or discovered the group through the continued popularity of classic new wave, this performance provides an opportunity to revisit beloved songs while enjoying the excitement of a live concert.

Adding to the evening will be DJ Omar Perez of Popscene, bringing his connection to San Francisco’s vibrant alternative music and nightlife community. His presence sets the stage for a night that celebrates not only Book of Love, but also the culture and musical spirit surrounding new wave and alternative pop.

The event takes place at The Chapel in San Francisco, California, with doors opening at 7:00 PM and the show beginning at 8:00 PM on Saturday, January 16.

Gather your friends, dress for the occasion, and get ready to dance, sing along, and celebrate 40 years of Book of Love. Join the band and DJ Omar Perez for a memorable night of electronic beats, classic new wave sounds, and timeless alternative music.
