Gather your family and friends for an outdoor movie experience at Thrive City on Sunday, November 8, 2026, with Blankets & Blockbusters: Toy Story 5. The event begins at 12:00 PM, giving guests plenty of time to arrive, get comfortable, explore the movie-themed activities, and enjoy the plaza before the film begins at 1:00 PM.

Designed as a relaxed community movie day, Blankets & Blockbusters transforms Thrive City’s outdoor plaza into a large-scale cinema experience. Guests are invited to bring their own blanket and settle in for a screening of Toy Story 5 on Thrive City’s giant plaza screen. Families can also stop by the event’s photo opportunity to capture memories and explore additional activities inspired by the movie.

The outdoor setting makes this more than a typical movie screening. Instead of sitting inside a theater, attendees can enjoy the open-air atmosphere of Thrive City while spending time with friends and family. Because November evenings and outdoor spaces can become chilly, guests are encouraged to bring something warm and dress comfortably for the weather.

The Entertainment Zone at Thrive City will also be activated for the event. Guests 21 and over may purchase to-go alcoholic beverages from participating Thrive City businesses to enjoy within the designated Entertainment Zone. Outside alcohol is not permitted on the plaza.

For those arriving by car, parking is available seven days a week at the Chase Center Garage (CCG), located at 99 Warriors Way. Guests should allow time for parking and finding a comfortable viewing spot before the movie starts.

Thrive City has several policies designed to maintain a safe and welcoming environment. Prohibited items and activities include weapons, coolers, lawn chairs, smoking, drones, amplified sound, motorized vehicles, tents, and overnight camping. Bicycles, skateboards, roller blades, and scooters are also not permitted within the plaza, although bicycles may be locked at street racks around the venue. Pets must remain on a leash, while trained service animals are welcome according to Thrive City’s guidelines. Guests are asked to place all garbage and recyclable materials in designated receptacles.
