Zarna Garg: Million Dollar Excuses

Zarna Garg brings her distinctive perspective on family, culture and everyday life to Million Dollar Excuses on Saturday, October 10, 2026. Presented by Another Planet Entertainment, the evening begins at 7:30 pm, with doors opening at 6:30 pm, giving audiences a chance to settle in before an evening of stand-up comedy and sharp social observation.

An Indian immigrant mom from New York City, Garg has developed a comedic voice that draws heavily from modern family dynamics. Her material combines humor and wit with fearless commentary, turning familiar experiences and complicated relationships into opportunities for laughter. Her perspective is shaped by her experiences as an immigrant, parent and outspoken advocate for change and representation within comedy.

Garg’s work extends well beyond the traditional stand-up stage. She created the Amazon Prime comedy special One in a Billion and hosts The Zarna Garg Family Show, a podcast that examines contemporary family life through her candid and comedic lens. She has also made the transition into film, starring in A Nice Indian Boy, while her live career has included headlining the Practical People Win tour and opening for comedy legends Tina Fey and Amy Poehler on their Restless Leg Tour.

Her growing profile has brought appearances at events including the Just For Laughs Comedy Tour and Netflix Is a Joke Festival, while her comedy has earned praise from The New York Times and Variety. With a social media following of more than two million, Garg has established a substantial audience drawn to her direct, recognizable style.

At the heart of Million Dollar Excuses is Garg’s ability to find comedy in the tensions and absurdities of everyday relationships. Her famously outspoken takes on mother-in-law behavior are part of a broader approach that challenges expectations while keeping the focus on laughter and shared experiences. For anyone interested in contemporary stand-up that blends personal storytelling with cultural and social commentary, the Saturday, October 10 performance offers an evening with one of today’s distinctive comedy voices.
