Bring the family to Thrive City for Little Bears Music Class, an interactive experience where young children can discover the joy of music through singing, movement, rhythm, and play. Designed to encourage socialization, musical appreciation, and creative self-expression, the class gives children an opportunity to explore sound and movement in a welcoming environment alongside their caregivers and other young participants.
The program features two age-specific sessions, allowing activities to be tailored to different stages of early childhood. Babies and toddlers ages 3 and under can attend from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., while preschoolers ages 4 to 6 have their own session from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. Families can select the class that best matches their child’s age and developmental stage.
Leading both sessions is Teacher Barb, a guitar-slinging musician known for creating lively musical experiences for children and families. Her repertoire spans classic rock ’n’ roll, country, folk, blues, and jazz, along with original songs written specifically for young audiences. Through these familiar and playful musical styles, children are encouraged to sing, move, clap, dance, and participate at their own pace.
The class goes beyond simply listening to music. Children can practice singing in tune, explore different beats, feel rhythm, discover rhyming patterns, and learn how musical expression can be a natural form of communication. Caregivers are also invited to participate, making the experience an opportunity for families to connect through shared singing and movement.
After the class, families can continue their visit at Thrive City by enjoying lunch, snacks, or treats at the plaza’s restaurants and bars. Parking is available seven days a week at the Chase Center Garage at 99 Warriors Way.
