Get ready to move, challenge yourself, and head into the weekend feeling strong at Below the Belt + Aligned – Pilates, part of Thrive City’s Weekly Fitness Classes presented by Kaiser Permanente. Designed to bring the Bay Area community together through movement and wellness, this free fitness experience offers two energizing classes in one morning, giving participants the chance to focus on strength, core conditioning, and overall fitness in a welcoming environment.

The morning begins with Below the Belt – HIIT from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. This lower-body-focused workout is designed to fire up your glutes and challenge your abs through an invigorating high-intensity interval training format. Expect an energetic session that encourages you to work hard, feel powerful, and leave the class feeling ready to take on the weekend. Whether you’re already active or looking for a motivating way to add more movement to your routine, this class welcomes participants at all fitness levels.

At 11:00 a.m., the focus shifts to Aligned – Pilates, running until 12:00 p.m. This Pilates-inspired class combines targeted core conditioning with an extra dose of fitness intensity. It offers a complementary way to continue moving after HIIT, or it can be enjoyed as a standalone session for those who prefer a focused approach to core strength and body control.

Both classes are led by Jai Mac Neil, an accomplished fitness and performance professional with an impressive background in kinesiology, coaching, motivational speaking, and mindset development. Jai is a professor at the University of San Francisco in the Kinesiology Department and Change Institute, where she also created the Self-Transformation Empowerment Program. She serves as a performance coach for the Golden State Warriors and has worked with major organizations and athletes across professional sports, business, healthcare, and fitness. Her extensive experience brings an inspiring, performance-oriented perspective to the Thrive City experience.

Participants should bring a bottle of water and a fitness mat. The classes are free and open to all fitness levels, but space is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis, so arriving early is recommended.

Parking is available seven days a week at the Chase Center Garage (CCG), located at 99 Warriors Way. Guests should also be aware of Thrive City’s venue policies, including restrictions on outside alcohol, coolers, lawn chairs, smoking, drones, bicycles, skateboards, scooters, tents, and other prohibited items and activities. Trained service animals are welcome according to venue guidelines.

Whether you choose one class or stay for both, this Thrive City fitness experience is a great way to build strength, challenge your body, and start your weekend with positive energy. Come ready to sweat, move, and thrive with the Bay Area community!
