Boy Harsher – Live in Oakland

On Thursday, October 15, 2026, Boy Harsher brings their dark, atmospheric electronic sound to the Fox Theater in Oakland, California for an immersive night of music. The performance begins at 8:00 PM, offering fans an opportunity to experience the duo’s distinctive combination of synth-driven production, haunting vocals, pulsing rhythms, and cinematic mood in a live setting.

Boy Harsher, the creative partnership of Jae Matthews and Augustus Muller, has developed a dedicated following through music that draws from darkwave, electronic, industrial, synth-pop, and post-punk traditions. Their songs often balance hypnotic electronic sequences with Matthews’ expressive vocals, creating an atmosphere that can feel simultaneously intimate, ominous, and danceable. The contrast between brooding textures and driving rhythms is central to the duo’s appeal, making their live performances particularly suited to a theatrical venue.

The Fox Theater Oakland provides a striking setting for the experience. Known for its ornate architecture and distinctive atmosphere, the historic venue adds another visual layer to Boy Harsher’s sound. The combination of dark electronic music and an atmospheric theater environment creates an evening that is about more than simply listening to songs—it is an opportunity to become immersed in the band’s carefully constructed world.
