Goldenvoice presents Channel Tres: Portola Pre-Party on Friday, September 25, with JYOTY and Gelli Haha joining the lineup. Doors open at 7:00 p.m., with the show beginning at 8:00 p.m. This is a 21+ event, making it an ideal late-night destination for San Francisco listeners looking for a dance-focused night that moves freely between electronic music, hip-hop, R&B, and alternative sounds.

At the center of the evening is Channel Tres, the Compton-born artist whose music refuses to stay in one lane. Equally at home behind a DJ setup, on a festival stage, or collaborating with major artists, Channel Tres has built a distinctive identity around the meeting point of house music and hip-hop. His music carries the rhythm and movement of electronic dance music while leaving plenty of space for his unmistakable vocal presence and storytelling.

Channel Tres first introduced his solo sound with his 2018 self-titled EP, featuring tracks including “Topdown” and “Controller.” His 2020 i can’t go outside EP expanded his reach, with “fuego” featuring Tyler, The Creator helping accelerate attention around his work. Since then, collaborations with artists including KAYTRANADA, Kito, SG Lewis, and Charlotte Day Wilson have further established his ability to move comfortably across musical worlds.

His debut full-length, Head Rush, brought those influences together in a sophisticated blend of hip-hop, R&B, and electronic music, while also taking him to major festival stages and sold-out headline performances. His follow-up, Enigma, continues that exploration. Developed after Channel Tres left his previous label and began creating with an MPC in Topanga Canyon, the album features collaborations with Nick Solomon, Jesse Saint John, Pharrell, Robyn, Polo & Pan, and Kungs.

For this Portola Pre-Party, attendees can expect an atmosphere centered on movement and musical crossover. Channel Tres’ signature “Compton House” approach gives the performance a distinctive identity, connecting his roots in Compton with house-inspired production and contemporary electronic culture. With JYOTY and Gelli Haha also on the bill, the night offers multiple perspectives on modern dance music.

The event is strictly 21+. Guests must present a valid, physical government-issued photo ID where applicable and for alcohol purchases. School IDs, expired IDs, photos or photocopies of IDs, and digital IDs will not be accepted. Accessible-section availability may be limited, so guests seeking accommodations are encouraged to contact the venue.

With its combination of house grooves, sharp lyricism, electronic experimentation, and late-night energy, Channel Tres: Portola Pre-Party is positioned as a lively San Francisco night for anyone ready to dance across the boundaries between genres.
