Acid Tongue: The Farewell Show
After more than a decade of garage-rock grit, psychedelic experimentation, punk energy, and unforgettable live performances, Acid Tongue is preparing to take its final bow. On Friday, September 11, 2026, the genre-defying band returns to San Francisco for Acid Tongue: The Farewell Show, a special night at The Chapel that celebrates the group’s remarkable journey and gives fans one last opportunity to experience its music in a live setting.
Known for pushing beyond the boundaries of straightforward rock, Acid Tongue has spent more than 11 years developing a sound that draws from garage rock, psychedelia, punk, and other adventurous corners of the underground. Their reputation has been built not only through recordings but through a relentless touring history that has taken the band to clubs across the West Coast and festivals throughout Europe. Along the way, Acid Tongue has cultivated a fiercely independent identity and become known for performances that are energetic, unpredictable, and designed to be experienced at full volume.
Now, that chapter comes to an end in fitting fashion with a farewell performance at one of San Francisco’s beloved live music rooms. Los Dug Dug’s are also featured, adding another distinctive performance to an evening centered on rock ’n’ roll and psychedelic sounds.
Doors open at 8:00 PM, with the show beginning at 9:00 PM at The Chapel in San Francisco. Tickets are $28 in advance and $32 on the day of the show. Guests who require ADA seating are encouraged to contact the venue in advance, as accessible seating may reach capacity. Attendees can also start the evening at Curio next door and take advantage of expedited entry into The Chapel.
Whether you have followed Acid Tongue for years or simply want to witness a band’s final performance, this promises to be a memorable night. Come celebrate more than a decade of music, touring, experimentation, and community—and be there when Acid Tongue takes the stage one last time.
