Spend an evening immersed in shimmering guitars, atmospheric melodies, and thoughtfully crafted indie music when Pink Breath of Heaven comes to The Chapel at The Chapel in San Francisco, California on Thursday, September 3, 2026. The lineup also features Chime School and r.image, bringing together three projects with distinct approaches to guitar-driven, melodic, and atmospheric music.

At the center of the evening is Pink Breath of Heaven, the project of Liv Field and Rex John Shelverton. Their music is built around mood and emotional detail, pairing luminous guitar textures with haunting melodies and introspective lyrics. Rather than simply presenting individual songs, the duo focuses on creating an atmosphere that carries listeners from one moment to the next. Following their debut single, “Blue Is the Morning,” Pink Breath of Heaven developed a growing presence in San Francisco’s underground music community, performing alongside artists including The Dandy Warhols, LSD and the Search for God, Alison’s Halo, Ty Segall, and The Brian Jonestown Massacre. Their debut album, Colors Make a Sound, arrived in late 2025, followed by a signing with independent Los Angeles label Westward.

Joining them is San Francisco indie-pop group Chime School, led by multi-instrumentalist Andy Pastalaniec. Their sound centers on sparkling 12-string guitars, memorable hooks, and the energetic pulse of classic indie and jangle pop. Drawing inspiration from artists and labels associated with the 1960s through the 1990s, Chime School combines vintage influences with a distinctly contemporary Bay Area perspective. Their sophomore album, The Boy Who Ran the Paisley Hotel, has taken the band on tours throughout the U.S. and Europe.

Also appearing is r.image, the duo of Gray Tolhurst and Jessica Makhlin. Their singles “Valentina” and “Fear Never Goes” set the stage for an upcoming EP scheduled for fall 2026.
