Bear McCreary

Goldenvoice presents Bear McCreary on Sunday, September 13, 2026, for an evening that brings the cinematic scale of modern film, television, and video game scoring into a live concert setting. Doors open at 7:00 PM, with the performance beginning at 8:00 PM. Tickets are $40 for Advance 1, $45 for Advance 2, and $50 at the door.

An award-winning composer and recording artist, McCreary has built a career around music that heightens storytelling, emotion, and atmosphere. He began professionally as a protégé of legendary composer Elmer Bernstein before gaining widespread attention for his work on Battlestar Galactica in 2004. Since then, his credits have expanded across television, film, games, and concert music, making him one of the most recognizable contemporary composers working across multiple forms of media.

McCreary’s extensive résumé includes Amazon’s The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, Apple TV+’s Foundation, Outlander, The Walking Dead, Godzilla: King of the Monsters, and the Oscar-nominated documentary Crip Camp. His work on Sony PlayStation’s God of War and God of War Ragnarök earned two BAFTA Awards and two Grammy nominations, demonstrating his ability to turn interactive storytelling into emotionally powerful musical experiences.

His television work has also earned major recognition. McCreary has won three Emmy Awards, including two for Disney’s Percy Jackson and the Olympians and another for his theme for Da Vinci’s Demons. He has additionally received twelve International Film Music Critics Association Awards, including the 2024 Score of the Year honor.

Beyond orchestral and cinematic composition, McCreary has developed a strong identity as a recording artist. His 2024 album The Singularity is a hard-rock concept record featuring an impressive roster of collaborators, including Slash, Serj Tankian, Corey Taylor, and Rufus Wainwright. His broader creative collaborations have included Hozier, Fiona Apple, Shirley Manson, and Sinéad O’Connor.

The September 13 performance offers fans a chance to experience McCreary’s diverse musical world outside the screen, bringing together cinematic ambition, rock energy, and the dramatic storytelling that has defined his career.
