The band first emerged with its self-titled mini-album, Frog, released on Brooklyn’s Monkfish Records. The release quickly attracted attention from independent music circles, with Gold Flake Paint describing it as an exceptional American guitar record and praising its ability to bring together the character of numerous cult guitar bands. In 2015, Frog released its debut full-length album, Kind of Blah, through UK label Audio Antihero Records. The group followed with the 2018 mini-LP Whatever We Probably Already Had It, again released by Audio Antihero. In 2019, Frog expanded its catalog with Count Bateman, a more eccentric and folk-oriented release that embraced the band’s experimental side. The record included “You Know I’m Down,” a sleeper hit that became one of its memorable tracks.
