Doors open at 7:00 PM, with the performance beginning at 8:00 PM. This all-ages event welcomes longtime fans and a new generation of listeners eager to experience the enduring music of one of alternative rock’s most influential bands. Joining SUGAR for the evening is special guest J. Robbins of Jawbox.

Formed in late 1991 by legendary musician Bob Mould alongside bassist David Barbe and drummer Malcolm Travis, SUGAR made an immediate impact on the alternative music landscape. The band’s live debut came in early 1992 at Athens, Georgia’s renowned 40 Watt Club, quickly launching a remarkable run that would establish SUGAR as a major force in guitar-driven rock.

Their acclaimed debut album, Copper Blue, became an instant classic and was named NME’s 1992 “Album of the Year.” Fueled by unforgettable songs such as “A Good Idea,” “Helpless,” and “If I Can’t Change Your Mind,” the album showcased the band’s unique ability to combine powerful guitars and intense performances with strong melodies and emotionally charged songwriting. SUGAR soon moved from intimate clubs to major stages, earning a reputation for electrifying live shows.

The band followed Copper Blue with the darker and more visceral Beaster in 1993, before releasing File Under: Easy Listening in 1994. Across their recordings, SUGAR demonstrated a willingness to explore different musical textures while maintaining the raw energy and melodic strength that became their signature.

Although the original lineup called it a day in 1995, SUGAR’s influence continued to grow through reissues, live recordings, anthologies, and generations of artists inspired by their work. In June 2025, the original members reunited, marking an exciting new chapter. In October 2025, they released “House Of Dead Memories,” their first new song in more than three decades.

The Love You Even Still Tour offers fans a rare opportunity to celebrate SUGAR’s remarkable legacy while witnessing their renewed creative energy live. With J. Robbins adding his own celebrated alternative-rock pedigree to the lineup, this promises to be a memorable evening of loud guitars, infectious melodies, emotional intensity, and timeless rock ’n’ roll.

SUGAR has also partnered with PLUS1, with $2 from every ticket going toward The Trevor Project and its work providing crisis intervention and suicide prevention services for LGBTQ+ youth.
