About The Dorian:
From the team behind Palm House comes The Dorian, a Victorian-inspired bi-level bar and restaurant. A modern day parlor of sorts, the space has a vintage feel with leather banquettes, sleek tiled tabletops and bookcases brimming with hardcovers. Here, visitors find it easy to imagine someone like Oscar Wilde settling in for a drink or two at one of the sprawling dark wood bars.
The menu at The Dorian is New American, but with a seasonal twist. Appetizers like oysters on the half shell and jerk-spiced duck wings give way to entrees like roasted chicken served over spring vegetable succotash and American Wagyu flatiron steak with horseradish cream and chimichurri. Come the weekend, the brunch crowd congregates for classics like eggs Benedict with porchetta hollandaise, ricotta pancakes topped with seasonal marmalade and the locally beloved buttermilk fried chicken, which arrives with cheddar and scallion biscuits. Rounding out the menu is selection of international wines, craft beers and artisan cocktails. Celebrate simpler times at this Chestnut Street staple.
